"Teachers who love teaching teach students to love learning."

About Me
Welcome to my page! A little about me- I have been working in education since 1998. I started as a paraprofessional working in special education in a resource classroom at the local elementary school while I put myself through college. I graduated with my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with my EC-6 Generalist, 4-8 Generalist, and EC-12 Special Education Teaching certifications and began teaching middle school science. We had SO MUCH FUN!!! I LOVED my middle schoolers!!! They made everyday new and interesting! Along with teaching science, I coached the Science Olympiad team and we won back to back State Championships!!! I also coached girls basketball and was a Washington D.C. trip sponsor for our 8th graders. In 2011 I decided to go back to school and got my Masters in Educational Leadership with a Principal certification. A year later I had the opportunity to use my new certification when I was named the Dean of Middle School and High School. I served as the Dean for 5 years before taking a break to be a stay at home Mommy with my littles. Now I have my own Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) store, The Thoughtful Educator, and I am living vicariously through all of you who are still in the classroom teaching. My hats off to all of you! I hope to rejoin your ranks again in the future- but for now, I get my fix by making awesome lessons, activities, review sheets, and foldable notes to help make your life easier! I remember how hard teaching can be, how much time it can take- let me take some of the worry and work off of your shoulders!
